New museum

It was designed by Japanese architects Kazuyo Sejima and Ryue Nishizawa of the architect office SANNA who were awarded the Pritzker Prize in 2010. My favorite museum in Japan," The 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa" was also designed by them. New museum has a unique form like a sculptural stack of rectilinear boxes. I'm glad to see their architecture in NYC...

Urban Hiking

I went to Parsons to see a thesis show. These works are designed by Chika who is my customer. Her project; ” Urban Hiking ” is great !! She told me that ” Urban Hiking is a system to guide parents and their kids on urban hiking adventures. Hiking is an important activity that brings people closer to nature. It allows them to have an intimate relationship with their surroundings. Using hiking as the primary activity, the pop-up map introduces the kids to their surroundings. Pop-up dowel is a trophy that helps children keep track of where they went and keep their memories in a container. Each child will take a different path. When they complete all of the landmarks, they will make their own city.” I think that her business will be successful !!

Kirakuya

I had an opportunity to go to a new Japanese style Tapas & Sake bar; Kirakuya for their pre-opening. We can choose from over 100 kinds of Sake and eat delicious food. " YUZUOMOI " tastes wonderful. Kirakuya is a good place to have fun with a group of friends.

SCOTT CAMPBELL

I went to the opening of Scott Campbell's solo show, " If You Don't Belong, Don't Be Long" which is on now at OHWOW in NYC. It was filled with fashion-conscious people. He created his artwork with piles of 1 dollar bills. He is one of the world's foremost tattoo artists. MARC JACOBS also ornaments his body with Scott's tattoos...
