THE GLASS HOUSE

He took me to the Glass House which was designed by Philip Johnson in Connecticut on my birthday. Unfortunately, it was canceled because of heavy rain so we went there again on July 7 which is called the Star Festival. It was pretty beautiful day. There was a moving sight in harmony with nature.

The Tree of Life

The cinema photography was great and artistic. I'm just interested in a way of expressing emotions, creating an atmosphere and showing an image in this movie. There were lots of beautiful scene, though the story weighed heavily on my heart.   It's like a cosmology...

Bilbao

I went to Spain to work on a Japanese magazine this February. I had made plans for my trip to Spain but I didn't get a chance that time. Finally I saw The Guggenheim Museum Bilbao that was designed by Frank O. Gehry. There are pros and cons of his creation. I like seeing architectures but I am not a professional architect.  I take an objective view so his creation just gave me courage. I also saw a creation of Richard Serra in this museum. I have seen his work many times but I realized then for the first time that I feel an echo when I walk through these sculptures. I thought that I want to create something.

cenote

I had a lot of delightful memories of this trip, but some of the most impressive scene are the cenotes. Cenotes are created by an underground river system and are fresh water sink holes that the Maya considered to be sacred.  Mayans also believed they were the entrance to the underworld.
Mayans were playing a ethnic music and dancing in a cenote. There was an artistic atmosphere and I was filled with deep emotion. I want to go cenote-diving next time!
